The Man Who Wrote Only One Book

At first the book was praised by the critics Slowly it gained popularity Then it became a bestseller And then phenomenal And finally a classic Followers flocked to see and hear from  The person who wrote the book They expected more and more like this work But he was really obsessed with these praises And this became a burden He wanted to write but he feared Days became dull and nights sleepless He became more reclusive Withdrew from all gatherings He began to think he is an imposter One day he disappeared from the searching eyes And roamed around incognito But the people continued their search for him And he was regarded as the man who wrote only one book

Afore I sink into oblivion

Afore I sink into oblivion, I want to carve my lines Leastwise on sands Ephemeral it will be I'm sure And before the erosion erases them Or water washes them off I want them to be seen By a kindred spirit And afore I sink into oblivion I want to compose a melody To pop up on the minds which are dejected Thereby to ease their pain And afore I sink into oblivion I want to scribble a few words For your eyes only To peruse over and over again

Wake Up, The Morning Bells Are Ringing

Wake up, the morning bells are ringing And tell the people gathered here to disperse Take me to a morning walk in the woods Where we can feel the sweet cool air and The blades of grass drenched in dew And let us eavesdrop the morning messes of birds Wake up, you have had enough sleep And the time is running Have you forgotten your promise Of having a whale of a time together Ask these people to be quiet Like you urge me when I make noises Wake up, and take me to school Lest the teacher will scold me  For being late We are running out of time I know you are not sleeping For I can see your smile Wake up, don't you see my eyes are wet with tears? And they are about to trickle down I promise I'll be a good child and I will not be a mischievous one And please wake up from this eerie sleep Or wake me up from this wretched nightmare
